It’s been an outstanding spring – with the most blossoms on trees and shrubs that I’ve seen in years.
And there was no killing frost to spoil them
April 10 Lucca Kauffman (5) spent the day with us.
We visited the Bartlett Arboretum in Belle Plain
that was celebrating it’s 100th anniversary –
a beautiful space – lots of flowers and BIG old trees
And water and bridges.
Speaking of trees – we have a rather large new honey locust tree in our front yard –
replacing the poor maple that never looked very healthy and then up and blew over last spring!
April 16 Edith and I enjoyed our annual trip to the MCC Sale in Hutchinson. A few plants, a few fabrics, a bit of food, a bit of visiting – a full evening!
Tomorrow (Saturday) is Erin Runge & Manny Bariocio’s wedding in Hesston. And I need to get my vegetable garden plants. Can I shop at Stone Creek in my wedding clothes?
Next Friday I head to Indiana – Goshen area first to visit my siblings, cousins and celebrate Aunt Lois’s 98th birthday. Sunday I’ll head to Indy with Nolan, Nancy & Georgia – staying until Tuesday eve. Fun times ahead!
And THAT, my friend – takes care of April!
